CONEJO VALLEY WOODWORKERS' ASSOCIATION

I was asked by Howard Ford to join our organization at inception. Our Club owes a debt of gratitude to Howard and his committee for the insight and hard work in forming the Conejo Valley Woodworkers' Association.

Some of the events which took place during my watch were:

Building of the rolling Library for the club by Stephen Case Pall
We ordered Club badges for all our members
The Club members built a barn at Stephen Case Pall's house
Club lumber cutting project headed by Barry Wood, stored at Stephen house
Additional suppliers
Attempted to start a wood carving class
Bladerunner Header, designed by Marlene Peters
Mike DeCaprio was a welcome visitor
Bill Brandt asked the origin of steel wool size standard, never answered
PP Duane Nightingale has his clock featured in Popular Woodworking
Barry Wood had his jig on the front cover of American Woodworker
PP Howard Ford had an article in American Association of Woodturners "Doing the Twist" Layout techniques, inspired by Stewart Mortimer
PP Stan Wolpert started his tool sharpening workshops
Jr. Tools opened in Oxnard
Club shared in a show and tell program, their favorite jigs and fixtures
Visited professional woodworker, Steve Casey's shop
Rented a bus and went to the American Woodworker show in Ontario
