January 2 -- Regular Meeting

January 25 -- Popular Woodworking Show
7:30 a.m. at Redwood Intermediate School, board the chartered bus for Popular Woodworking Show in Ontario, CA. The bus will return in the early evening.  Make reservations and pay your fee.


Woodworkers' Breakfast
There is an independent  local group of woodworkers who regularly meet at  the Ihop Restaurant, Borchard Road near the freeway, in Newbury Park. They get together to talk woodworking while having breakfast a 9:00 a.m. on the third Wednesday of each month.


February 6 -- Regular Meeting 
Program -- Six different Demonstrations/Discussions
on the following subjects. The 6 sessions will run simultaneously. Choose the session/sessions you want to experience.

1. Box Joints, how to make them
2. Sharpening Drill Bits.
3. Turning Demonstration
4. Preparation of the wood and Chucking the stock on the Lathe.
5. Planes and how to use them
6. Finishing Wood


March 6 -- Regular Meeting 
Program -- Veneering (Various Aspects of Veneering) Presented by Mark Vickers


April 3 -- Regular Meeting     Program Subject, "Equipment Repair and Band saw Restoration" presented by Tim Albers.

April 5  -- Visit the Tim Albers shop.


May 1 -- Regular Meeting    Program Subject, "Wood Grading and Pricing (plus) How to use certain measuring instruments when working with wood. Presented by Brady Andresen

May 3 -- Shop Visit at Brady Andresen's business shop.


June 5 -- Cabinet Making with Steve Casey presenting
He will be discussing "How To" from start to finish with emphasis on 32 millimeter method.

June 7 -- Shop Visit at Howard Ford's house. You will see the shop that garage sales furnished. The low budget tools and equipment all crowded into one garage.


July 3 -- Tips, Jigs and Fixtures

July 5 -- Shop Visit at Keith William's house.

July 25-26 -- Michael Dresner will teach and demonstrate Wood Finishing


August 7 -- Guest Speaker, Paul Henry -He will discuss how the study of the history of furniture can influence the way we design for contemporary needs. He will show examples, including those from my own work, of pieces that honor the past and reinterpret those ideas afresh. He will help us take a look at historical forms as a springboard for discussing contemporary design, and to examine the differences between the 18th century's vision of a successful piece and today's. 

August 9 -- Shop Visit at Stephen CasePall's shop.


September 4 -- Multiple Stations Program with topics to be announced.

September 6 -- Shop Visit at Greg and Eileen Charles' house.


October 2 -- Annual Auction

October 4 -- Shop Visit at Larry Thrasher's house.
