This box is titled Ancestry. It is made from all of the following woods: Sycamore, Wenge, Bloodwood, Black Palm, Maple, Manzanita Burl, Ebony, and Maple Burl. The finish is Polyurethane. It has a false bottom with a hidden cavity. The front is a Wyoming fish fossil.

This Desktop Box is made from Spalted Coralwood, Croch Walnut, Wenge and Ebony. It was inspired from cutoff scraps, the spalt, and the figure.

Dragonflies for Michelle jewelry box. Made from Mahogany, Wenge, Spalted Sycamore, Yellow Heart, Mahonia, Curly Maple, Quilted Maple, Walnut, Paua Shell, Black Pearl and Ipe. The finish is Lacquer. Note that the drawers, without handles, are opened by push buttons inside the lid.

Desktop Oval(ish) Box made from Ipe, Cherry, Rosewood, Coralwood, and fish fossel. The finish is also lacquer.

Dave displayed two new boxes. The first is a Pin Hinged Box made from Bubinga, Walnut & Walnut Burl, Ebony, and Rosewood. It is finished with Watco Oil. The second is a Bandsaw Box made from Acacia, Figured Walnut, Amonite, Curly Maple.

This is an all new Grid Top Box made from Indian Rosewood, Ebony, Fippleback Maple, Yellow Heart, Mother of Pearl. It also has white, yellow and black palla shell. The finish is colored dyes and lacquer. It was a lot of work to get the finish just right.

Dave made this Pivot Triangle Box from Sycamore, Ebony, Buckeye Burl, and a special laminate of stacked Koa which was dyed gray. This finish is Waterborne Urethane. It also is accented with Deer Antler legs and metal leaf on raw wood.

Dave made this Hall Table called Buckeye and Buckfeet. It is made from Zircote, Buckeye Burl, Ebony, Santos Curly Mahogany, Fiddle Back Maple, Curly Maple, Deer Antler, Paua Shell, Oak and Hickory. It is finished in Lacquer. There is a hidden tray and the feet are made to look like deer hoofs.
This table won Best in Show at the Ventura County Fair.

1) A heart of carved wood lilies heart vase. Made from Birdseye Maple Burl, Nandina, Mahogany, Lignum Vitae, and Granite. It is finished in Satin Lacquer

Dave built this multitude of boxes for Valentine's day. They are made variously from Redwood and Coral Burls. Accents are with Purple heart, Rosewood, Coco Bolo Ebony, Walnut, Maple Burl, Bloodwood and some Abalone Shell. Some of these pivot open. All have a decorative heart theme, some crystal (for a handle) and inlaid geode.

Dave built these two boxes. They are inlaid with applied fossils ( fish, ammonite and trillibite ). The wood is Coral Burl, Ebony, Bloodwood, Walnut, Cherry, Black Palm, Mahogany. The special features include the fossils and internal pockets.

This collection of Burl Bowls and Vase by Dave. The items are made from many varieties: Pepper, Coralwood, Juniper, Oak, Sumac, Palm, Nandina, Purple Heart, Rosewood, and Lignum Vitae. Some of the items have inlays of deer antler or Nandina, power carved and sanded. The finish is one of Polyurethane, Lacquer, Water based Poly or Oil.

Jewelry Box made from Lacewood, Zircote, Ebony, Coralwood, Birch, Canary, Maple, Purple Heart, Walnut and Mahogany. The top is finished in water-base polyurethane. The box is started with Watco and topped with polyurethane. There is a mix of patterns which are inlaid as well as the on the feet and handle.

Dave made these three boxes. One is made from walnut, Wenge, and olive burl inlays. Another is made from Lacewood, ebony, Ipe, unknown white burl, gray veneer, mahogany, and maple. The last is made with Lacewood bow with geometric pattern inlay of Verawood, yellow heart, ebony, unknown white burl, teak bottom tray with Ipe tray sides and triangle divider.
