John Ascheman


John made this Round Box and Tumbler from Eucalyptus and Sycamore. It is finished in lacquer. The colors are from dyes and from acrylic paint.

Getting the most from a square box... This bowl was made from a square block of Walnut Burl. The base is Olive. The finish is Poly Acrylic. Note that the holes on the side are a result of the original square block... if you try to repeat this, be sure the block is absolutely centered in the turning chuck!
