This collection of Dave's boxes is pretty amazing. Oval pivot top, Lift Top, Sculpted Relief Carved, some with Amonite inlays, Granite based, Turquoise and Deer Antler. Ebony, Rosewood, Juniper Burl, Bloodwood Ebony, Coral Burl, Mahogany Wenge, Oak Burl, Ipe, Redwood Burl, and Maple Burl.
Finish: Oil, Lacquer, and Polyurethane.

This Cutting Board is made from Walnut, Maple, and Cherry. It is finished in oil.

Dave turned the by using great care and using CA Glue for stability. It is finished in CA Glue and Lacquer and is highly polished.

Richard made this Lazy Susan after reading the same article as Tom Denton above. However, his wife did not want a cutting board so he made this Lazy Susan instead. It is made from Walnut, Cherry and Maple. It is finished in varnish.

Andrew Purdy


This Custom Storage Case is made from Cherry, Maple, Figured Redwood - book-matched veneer with Padauk trim. The finish is wipe-on Maloof Polyurethane. This is used to store Andrew's carving tools and bits. It features a lift out tray for the bits.

Gene West


Gentlemen Admirers -- Gene made this new mechanical toy from a Walnut base and the figures are carved from Basswood. The finish is Polycrylic. Both men doff their hats to the lady.

Egg Mill or Egg Beater This is a spinning toy popular in the 15th Century. It was made from Birch and is finished in Polycrylic. The toy rotates like a top when the string is pulled.
